Pearse Lyons Distillery are delighted to be taking part in the Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival. The festival celebrates the cultural, historical, and architectural heritage of the area and encourages people who are living, working and visiting Dublin 8 to explore what is on their doorstep.
On May 13 and 14, Pearse Lyons Distillery invites you to join us to explore the rich history and heritage surrounding the former St. James Church, and how it came to be Pearse Lyons Distillery. Discover the stories of the trades men and women who worked in this part of the Liberties and what was once known as “The Golden Triangle” of Irish Whiskey production.
With burial records dating back to the 11 Century, this engaging tour will bring you through 800 years of history. The tour will also focus on the restoration of the St. James Church by the Lyons family, before the craft distillery opened its doors to the public in late July 2017. People of all ages are welcome as this is a history tour so be sure to bring your family and friends. Tickets can be redeemed from April 19, on our website.
The Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival will see over 50+ free events, exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, performances, family activities and much more in all of your favourite Dublin 8 venues, museums, parks, breweries and cultural amenities. For more information, check out their website.
